Recently and while in prayer I contemplated the historic equivalent of what has happened in Haiti taking account the absolute surprise, shear magnitude of loss to life and structure and the total lack of hope without world aid and the first instance that came to mind was the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. These are very sad times indeed and it is our duty to increase our prayer during these times to ask God for help with assisting aid.

These are not just our neighbors, these are our Sisters, Brothers, Mothers and Fathers, Daughters and Sons. We must help them as family members. I know it is crazy to think someone might take advantage of these horrible times by syphoning donated monies for the benefit of only one person, but we must learn from our past and not be naive with  our efforts in being responsible to this planet.
